The AK47, which police described as "incredibly rare", was handed in in Hammersmith and Fulham, and had been deactivated.
Incredibly rare? Really? On what basis? the fact that its a bit old looking?
Detective Superintendent Stephen Clayman of the Trident and Area Crime Command, said: "Whilst some dangerous weapons and ammunition have been surrendered over the last ten days, I acknowledge that the number of firearms being handed in is lower than expected, hence this final last push to encourage people to do the right thing.

The smiling policeman? Coersing honest people to hand in their legally owned possessions? Pherhaps we should have a hat amnesty where people with legallay owned hats can hand them in just in case their hats suck donkeys calls or somthing or they get used to bore people to death?
I totally would not participate in such a stupid event and my hats would stay firmly in my wardrobe.
