mr my deacts, im sorry to say that they 'Do' use live guns in films, usually section 5, when a scene needs it, e.g when mussel flash is seen, blank fire guns vent top/side in the uk, but due to health and safety rule the following rules apply.
1 deact used for close ups, loading revolvers, mags in autos, when any firearm is pointed at the head or chest its deact (somthing we should never do).
2 live arms are only handled by two people, the actor using it and the amour, blank rounds counted out and cases counted back.
3 background actors use wooden or for closer shot rubber.
4 any actor who is pistol whiped, or struck with a butt, its rubber.
5 a lot of the rest is move magic, and more cash more guns more bangs.
and as you say the 'best bren gun scene ever' if its deact what about the mussel flash, you big silly mydeact, or are you teasing us.
I dont doubt you, I just generally believe they are all made of wood. I guess theres a difference between UK and the USA also. I dont know much about muzzle flash etc. I would just have thought that the special effects and digital editing departments would handle all that. Just strikes me as logical as cutting real people when special effects will do.
Im not saying they dont at all other than in the blasie sense. I dont even know much about muzzle flash, never seen it.

but you changed your name? just wondering why?
I tweaked the code to run off the username as opposed to your screen name but its best that they both match up. was there a reason why you changed from s811 to s8121?

changed cos it should have been s8121 in the first place, but i buggered it up so changed it, (first few of my old sevice number) if there is a problem il change it back no trouble at all, p.s ive added a few movie gun photos, can you tell what they were.

Im afraid thats not good enough as it can be 'readily made active' simply by putting in new batteries. I think that if its a standard BlasTech A295 as used by the majority of the rebel alliance that it would have needed the following;
- 1) Central fuse capacitor completely removed
- 2) Refractive lens and optical elements etched
- 3) Logic circuit and power up circuits suitably scorched (gentle heating allowed) Such that no through circuits are operative on any abc channels
- 4) Trigger piece welded to graphite isolater and trigger circuit and logic boards completely removed
- 5) External fusion power supply needs radioactive core removed and case shielding needs holes drilled to prevent replacement core being re-inserted
I would suggest getting this done asap and then sending it to deact office in birmingham for certification.

oooo you bitch caught me out good and propper ;D, then again i would have to send it to a galaxy far far away because i dont think birmingham would touch it, but as a start ill fill the ion fusion charge tube with squerty foam, then off to the post office to see if parcel force will take it, as soon as its back il post the de-act cert.
